Headquarters

Expanded training capacity, improved simulation labs, an enhanced critical communications center, and comprehensive fleet maintenance capabilities are among the key features of St. Charles County Ambulance District’s [SCCAD] state of the art headquarters facility, which opened in June 2021.

The facility, located at 2000 Salt River Road in St. Peters, was the largest single project in the District’s 2018 10-Year Capital Improvement Plan, and was completed ahead of schedule and under budget by nearly $2 million.

Prior to the opening of the headquarters facility, the District’s non-9-1-1 functions were spread between five different buildings in three municipalities.  The new facility brought together these functions, resulting in improved operational efficiency.

The building measures 141,000 square feet, just over half of which is allocated to operational needs such as supply chain management and fleet maintenance. The remainder of the space houses the District’s Training division, administration, mobile integrated health, and more.  The facility features a number of eco-friendly features designed to save on utility costs and reduce energy utilization.

It is projected that the headquarters facility will meet the needs of the District for 25-30 years. When additional space is required, the current site offers expansion capability to the east of the current structure.
