The first minutes following a cardiac arrest are the most critical, and providing assistance to a victim is easier than you may think. In most situations, hands-only CPR is the appropriate course of action – no mouth-to-mouth breaths are required.
The Lifesaver CPR initiative is a FREE opportunity available to any businesses, civic organizations, homeowners associations, churches and other groups in St. Charles County. Attendees will learn how to recognize the signs of cardiac arrest, practice proper compression technique, and understand that they are protected from liability thanks to Missouri’s Good Samaritan Law. Fill out our Contact form and select ‘Request a Speaker’ to get the process started!
Training usually takes 30-40 minutes, and can be customized to meet the unique needs of the organization. Optional add-on topics include choking relief and use of an automated external defibrillator [AED].
